You must be a natural leader with the desire to help others. You must have excellant attention to detail and confidence to take care of issues big or small. You must be creative, informed and current in today's event styles. You must be willing to be strong when discussing logistics but not forceful of your own ideas. Lastly a love for weddings and events and seeing people pleased with the service we provide.

Everyone that works for Proposing Dreams starts with an unpaid internship to be sure it's what they want to do and they fit the Proposing Dreams style before becoming an assistant. Wanting to be a "wedding planner" and actually being one are two totally different things. Realize the amount of weekends you will give up for this field as well as the amount of responsibility you are taking on for someone's special day.

After one year (about 20-30 weddings) as an assistant you can then start to train for your own events. A training lead works three weddings as the lead with Sabrina as the assistant for guidance as needed. When Sabrina is confident they will advance to a coordinator.

To become a consultant or planner they will work as a lead coordinator for 2 years (40-60 weddings) and then take a test to advance to the next level. They will work side by side with Sabrina for 3 consulting or planning events before given events at this level on their own.

The entire staff is constantly researching and learning to improve our services and style. Any constructive criticism or advice is always appreciated.
